American Food Partners Announces Rebrand to American Seafood Partners to Reflect Pure-Play Focus
NARRAGANSETT, RHODE ISLAND — March 1, 2026 — American Food Partners, a leading vertically integrated domestic seafood platform, announced today that it is officially changing its corporate name to American Seafood Partners (ASP). The strategic rebranding aligns the company’s identity with its core mission of acquiring, scaling, and managing premier squid and seafood brands across the United States.
The transition to American Seafood Partners will be executed in phases and will remain ongoing throughout the remainder of 2026.
Since its founding in 2023 by an investment group led by industry veteran Ignacio Tirado, the firm has rapidly expanded its footprint through the acquisition of established coastal processing and distribution assets, including Rhode Island-based Sea Fresh USA. The new name reinforces the organization’s specialized commitment to the commercial seafood sector, highlighting its focus on premium, sustainably caught domestic species like wild-caught Doryteuthis pealeii and Illex illecebrosus.
"Our new identity, American Seafood Partners, better articulates who we are, what we do, and where we are heading," said Ignacio Tirado, Principal. "Over the past three years, we have built a robust network of dockside operations, advanced processing facilities, and dedicated fleet relationships. This rebrand solidifies our dedication to being the premier partner for commercial fishermen and a trusted, pure-play source of high-quality squid and seafood for our retail and foodservice customers."
The update will roll throughout 2026, encompassing updating corporate entities, digital assets, product packaging, etc., across the company's holdings. The phased approach ensures zero disruption to daily processing operations, vessel offloading, or customer distribution schedules.
The company confirmed that while the name and visual identity are evolving, its corporate leadership, management teams, and foundational commitment to sustainable fisheries management remain completely unchanged.
"We are proud of the strong foundation we built under the American Food Partners banner," Tirado added. "As American Seafood Partners, we enter this next phase focused entirely on driving efficiency, expanding our product lines, and strengthening the vital domestic seafood supply chain from dock to table."
